  10. Chingford is fast becoming the hottest spot for UFOs in London says a skywatch
  11. expert.

  13. Roy Lake founder of London UFO Studies,says the aliens are attracted by vast
  14. expanses of water at the reservoirs.
  15.  
  16. Another favourite sightings spot is Pole Hill,Chingford and apparently UFO's
  17. are known to be attracted by electricity pylons.

  19. Said Roy: "They like the King George reservoir best and we've had far more
  20. reported sightings from that part of London than any other."
  21.  
  22. Roy has been a firm believer in UFOs since 1952 but the number of sightings has
  23. vastly increased since then,he says.
  24.  
  25. "It's not just that people are more aware than they used to be,or that they're
  26. more willing to report what they've seen,"Roy said.
  27.  
  28. "I can't explain it,nobody can but there are definately more of whatever these
  29. things are around.
  30.  
  31. "Shapes vary from elongated to circular but almost all of those seen at
  32. Chingford have been disc shaped."

  34. Roy has heard some odd tales in his time,such as that of a dead fox found with
  35. all the blood drained from its body,its internal organs having been pulled out
  36. and left on the outside,
  37.  
  38. People have phoned him with stories of being abducted by aliens and of weird
  39. things going on in their homes.
  40.  
  41. "I can spot the cranks easily and I just say 'thank you for calling' and hang
  42. up.Sometimes it's children messing about.
  43.  
  44. "But often it's someone with a real problem,someone who can hardly believe what
  45. they have seen.
  46.  
  47. "They find it reassuring to know they aren't being accused of hallucinating if
  48. being drunk."

  50. London UFO Studies has been going since 1990 and one of its investigators is
  51. Tony Golbourne,of Wigton Road,Walthamstow.
  52.  
  53. Tony,like Roy has seen a few strange sights in his time,most recently in
  54. November.Even his young children have apparently seen and heard strange
  55. goings-on.

  57. "Matthew who's three and a half,caught sight of our handbook which had a
  58. drawing of a being from outer space on its cover,something I keep well out of
  59. sight normally.
  60.  
  61. "But he just said 'man' and pointed to his bedroom.He'd obviously seen
  62. something odd in his room."
  63.  
  64. Readers may have seen Roy on cable TV yesterday, when during weird night,he
  65. talked about experiences of some of the groups members.

  67. On Friday,March 15th,London UFO Studies is holding its Waltham Forest branch
  68. meeting at Unity Hall in Bramley Close,Walthamstow.

  70. Doors open at 7pm and the event begins at 8pm.
